Verify a file
Four steps. The first two run on your device — the file is not uploaded unless you choose to sign for it.
Step 1: Choose a file

Accepts jpg, png, webp, mp4, mov, mp3, wav, txt, md, pdf.
Step 2: Checks

These run by themselves as soon as you choose a file.
Step 3: Declare
Signing is a public statement, made in your own name, that you are accountable for the file. You will be asked to accept each clause separately:
- I made this, or I have the right to sign for the person who did.
- No generative AI was used to create or alter it.
- I understand this ID can be revoked publicly if that turns out to be false.
Your name appears on the verification page. Your email is used once, to confirm the signature, and is not published.
Declaration coming next. This step is not switched on yet.

Step 4: Issued
Once the signature is confirmed, the file gets a verification ID and a public page at synthless.com/v/{id}, along with a badge you can embed. The page shows the hash, what was checked, and who signed — and it stays public if the ID is ever revoked.
